Lexie Minter is a specialist on a mission: to give women their hormones back.
One Ashford’s newest clinic focuses on providing personalised care for patients who are in the perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause stage of life.
“The average age of menopause onset is 51 and the age range of patients generally varies from 41 – 69. People may be surprised to learn that symptoms can begin to develop 10 years before the menopause is experienced…in their early-to-mid-forties…and this creates the potential for individuals to live in a hormone deficient state for over 30 years,” says Lexie.
Lexie’s clinical interests include: hormone replacement therapy, perimenopause, menopause, post menopause, genito urinary syndrome of the menopause, vulval vaginal health, hormones and the workplace, and the relatively underappreciated area of testosterone in women.
Lexie notes that “Hormones affect every aspect of our lives and play a central role in sleep quality, anxiety levels, libido, bone health, bladder function, mood and motivation. The symptoms of declining hormone function are extremely wide ranging and impact everyone differently.”
“Our mission is to provide the highest standards of hormone care based on a rigorous medical history and an individualised treatment plan. We do not believe in a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach.”
“We have received some truly heart-warming feedback from our patients and I am genuinely thrilled for every patient who has reported that their treatment journey has made them feel like themselves again and improved their lives,” she concludes.
