Sze-Hang Ko (Tony)

Professional Profile

Tony qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2020 from the University of Bradford with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy with First Class Honours. Following graduation, Tony worked in both public and private sectors in Hong Kong and the UK. Tony’s experience in Hong Kong mainly includes treating patients in acute and intermediate orthopaedic setting for a public hospital of the Hospital Authority (the NHS counterpart in Hong Kong), as well as government-funded and self-funded elderly patients in care homes and community settings. Later, Tony returned the UK to pursue his dream to be a musculoskeletal physiotherapist upon receiving a job offer in the NHS. 

Tony is a strong advocate of utilising East-meets-West approach in physiotherapy. Tony delivers individualised and evidence-based physiotherapeutic treatment in accordance with patients’ clinical needs. Tony optimises patient care for both short and long term management of different musculoskeletal conditions.

Personal Profile

Tony is trilingual speaking Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. He also has some knowledge of Korean and Portuguese that he would like to master them at some point in his life.

Tony is the Alumni Ambassador of the University of Bradford. He enjoys swimming although he admits that it is too cold for him to swim in British winter! He plays violin to ABRSM Grade 8 and piano to ABRSM Grade 5. Otherwise, he will be out shopping with his friends, watching dramas, cartoons, YouTube videos and doing his exercises to manage his back and neck pain caused by his hypermobility syndrome.
