CT Scans

CT scans, (Computerised Tomography) sometimes referred to CAT scans,  show a detailed, cross-section of the areas of your body that your GP or Consultant wants to investigate. The scanner takes multiple images, called slices and puts the images together to provide a very detailed view. Your scan will be performed by a qualified and dedicated Radiographer. 

CT scans can be used to view bones, internal organs, soft tissue and the brain.

The results of a scan can help your clinical team diagnose inflammation, abnormal bleeding, disease and cancer, and to monitor other health conditions.

CT scans are only available if referred by your GP or Consultant or other clinically trained professional. 

One Hatfield Hospital will provide all the information you need to prepare for your scan, understand what will happen and what to expect after your scan.

You can use your private medical insurance or pay for your CT Scans treatment. We offer competitive, fixed price packages as well as the ability to spread the cost of your treatment over a number of months. If you are using your health insurance, please contact your insurer first for approval and let them know you’d like to be treated at either the One Ashford Hospital or One Hatfield Hospital.
