What are mini consultations?
Our popular FREE 10 minute consultations provide our patients with the opportunity to meet our consultants for an initial discussion and guidance.
You may wish to get some advice on how to get a diagnosis, or find out more about a specific procedure, talk about your suitability for treatment, or address any questions you have about a condition or treatment.
Following your mini consultation, we will provide a quote for a full consultation, any diagnostic investigations recommended, and guide prices for any surgical procedures discussed.
Will I be charged?
Our mini consultations are completely free of charge. They are designed to be an introduction only and there is no obligation to proceed with any treatments or surgical procedures that may be discussed.
They are particularly useful for our patients who are paying for their own treatment as they will not have to pay for this initial conversation and it can help with their decision to go ahead with treatment they are funding themselves.
What concerns and treatments can I discuss at a mini consultation?
Our mini consultation events are led by Consultants specialising in:
- Cosmetic surgery
- Hernia repair and gallbladder surgery
- Orthopaedic – shoulder, elbow and hand
- Orthopaedic – hip and knee
- Orthopaedic – back and neck pain
- Varicose veins
What happens if I decide to go ahead with treatment?
If after your mini consultation you decide you want to proceed with treatment or surgery, you will need to pay for a full consultation. A full consultation will allow time for a full medical history to be taken and a full and thorough assessment and examination. This is not possible in the timeframe available at a mini consultation.
