Orthopaedics: Foot & Ankle Related Tendinopathy and Stress Fractures (CPD)

23rd March 2021 Virtual

Join One Ashford Hospital Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Baljinder Dhinsa on the evening of Tuesday 23rd March for an informative virtual educational talk on foot and ankle related tendinopathy stress fractures.

During the pandemic there has been an increase in the number of foot and ankle injuries seen related to a sudden increase in activity and repetitive strain. During this talk, Mr Dhinsa will go through acute and overuse injuries. He will discuss how to recognise and treat these injuries, giving his own diagnostic workup and explaining his examination process. He will then go through conservative and operative treatment options, including the collaborative management of patients across multiple healthcare disciplines.

Rehabilitation and injury prevention will be discussed, and the role of therapists to help sportspersons return to sport. This will be an interactive discussion, where input regarding strategies for management from participants is essential.

We encourage you to engage in debate with Mr Dhinsa and your peers, and you are invited to bring your own case studies for discussion.

The event will be held virtually, from 7:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday 23rd March, and you will be sent an invite with joining details prior to the event.  Please be aware that bookings will close at 1:00pm on Monday 22nd March.
