Join One Ashford Hospital Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons Mr Chris James and Mr Nik Bakti on the morning of Saturday 19th March for an informative virtual educational talk on the management of osteoarthritis. 

 

Management of Hand & Wrist Osteoarthritis with Mr Chris James

Mr James will be outlining the principles of osteoarthritis in the hand and wrist. He will primarily focus upon the non-surgical methods, including:

 

  • Pathophysiology of OA
  • Managing pain in primary care
  • What works, and what doesn’t
  • Diagnosing OA
  • When to refer to secondary care

 

 

Management of Osteoarthritis in the Shoulder & Elbow with Mr Nik Bakti

Mr Bakti will be discussing the management of osteoarthritis in both the shoulder and elbow and will cover the following:

 

  • Symptoms of OA
  • Key points in history
  • Differential diagnosis
  • Investigations in the community and how to interpret it
  • Conservative management in the community

 

 

This is an interactive learning session and we encourage you to ask questions throughout the session. You are welcome to bring your own case studies for discussion.

 


The event will be held virtually, from 9:00am – 11:00am on Saturday 19th March and you will be sent an invite with joining instructions after you have reserved your place.  Please be aware that bookings will close at 6pm on Thursday 17th March. Joining instructions will be sent out 24 hours prior to the event.
