Mr Chris James
Mr James is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at One Ashford Hospital who specialises in elective hand and wrist surgery, both open and keyhole arthroscopic techniques.
Mr James began surgical training in 2001 in London. He subsequently trained within the South London Orthopaedic Training Programme. Here he discovered his passion for specialist hand and wrist surgery.
In 2013 he spent a year on a specialist hand fellowship with world renowned surgeon Mark Ross at the Brisbane Upper Limb Institute. Here he gained specialist experience managing complex upper limb conditions, including microsurgery.
Mr James has always been involved in up to date practice of medicine. He has published internationally and co-authored books. Currently he is an investigator for a clinical trial within the Trust, assessing effectiveness of treatment for hand arthritis.
