Mr Nik Bakti is a Fellowship trained Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon based at One Ashford Hospital. He has a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery and shoulder replacement operations.

Professional Profile

Mr Nik Bakti qualified in 2008 from the Guys’, Kings’ and St Thomas’ Medical School in London. He continued to further his surgical training in Oxford and in the Kent region and obtained a Masters in Orthopaedics from University of Sussex. He has worked with many of the prominent shoulder surgeons in the region during his training and went on to do his fellowship in Perth, Western Australia learning key skills in shoulder and sports orthopaedic surgery.

 

Mr Bakti’s interests revolve around using upcoming technology for surgeons to provide reproducible excellent results for patient outcomes. 

 

In addition to One Ashford Hospital, Mr Bakti is also an NHS Consultant at the busy William Harvey Hospital, which is part of the East Kent Hospitals Foundation Trust. He is also a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University.
