Dr Robert White

Professional Profile

Dr White gained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degrees from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2005; he then worked in West Yorkshire hospitals before moving to St Mary’s Hospital in London. He qualified as a General Practitioner in South Kensington in 2010. After time working in expedition medicine in locations across the globe, Dr White worked as a GP in New Zealand returning to the UK to take up a GP position in East Sussex. In 2015 he moved to Whitstable and remains a GP Partner at Whitstable Medical Practice.

Since joining in 2015 Dr White and the team of the East Kent Community Dermatology Service have grown their service from one to nine sites across East Kent and pride themselves in providing high quality care to NHS patients.

Dr White’s areas of particular interest are skin lesion assessment, mole mapping and skin surgery; including low-risk skin cancer excisions. He is also experienced in medical dermatology and the management of skin conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis and urticaria in patients of all ages. Dr White is a member of both the British Association of Dermatologists and the Primary Care Dermatology Society.

As a GP with Extended Role in Dermatology and Skin Surgery Dr White is able to bring his extensive knowledge of multiple medical and surgical specialties to his patients. This offers dermatology patients specialist care but with a holistic outlook, to ensure that any treatment fits with their overall health and wellbeing.

Personal Profile

Dr White lives locally with his wife and two school-aged children. When not working, coaching rugby or ferrying children to sports fixtures he is to be found playing golf, ideally with his dog.
