Dr Raymond Leung

Dr Raymond Leung is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine who works as a consultant in the private sector and in professional sport. He previously worked as an NHS Consultant at Homerton University Hospital in London. He has extensive clinical experience in the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries across a variety of age groups from recreational to elite athletes. He also has experience in treating medical problems related to sports, exercise related illnesses, biomechanical issues and other musculoskeletal disorders. He is highly skilled in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound scan and offers a range of ultrasound-guided injections such as corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid, platelet rich plasma (PRP), hydrodistension/dilatation and high volume injections. The other treatments he offers includes shockwave therapy and exercise prescription.

Dr Leung has worked at Arsenal Football Club as the academy doctor for the past five years. Prior to that, he held positions as the club doctor for Sutton United Football Club and West Ham United Women’s Football Club, and also served as the men’s academy doctor at West Ham United Football Club. In addition to his work in football, he has provided medical support across a wide range of other sporting disciplines and events, including the 2022 Commonwealth Games, the Lawn Tennis Association, British Figure Skating, the All England Badminton Championships, British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), Para-swimming, and the London Marathon.
