Dr Hamer has 28 years’ experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist; 24 of which involved a major interest in Intensive Care medicine.  She has a strong interest in teaching and has trained with several lead roles locally and at Deanery level.  

She also has a keen interest in anaesthesia in developing countries, and has undertaken voluntary work in a bush hospital in Kenya in recent years.
