Colleagues and patients find that Anita has a straight-forward manner and that she is honest in her assessment of what is achievable with surgery. As a female consultant plastic surgeon, she encourages women to choose the ‘natural’ look, instilling confidence in their appearance, and to be comfortable in their own skin. Anita is privileged to have earned the trust of several nurses, doctors and professional women as her patients, and they have been delighted with the outcome of their surgery.
Anita has written several papers on breast reconstruction. Her research thesis was on nerve regeneration and the Royal College of Surgeons of England recognised her original work in nerve grafting, awarding a Hunterian Professorship in 1999.
