Show Your Support for Blue September

This month marks the start of Blue September which is a month long campaign developed by The Urology Foundation.  The campaign aims to raise awareness of cancer in men, particularly bladder, prostate and kidney cancer.  Cases of prostate cancer have risen significantly over the last few years, with those dying from prostate cancer exceeding those of breast cancer.  The Urology Foundation aims to educate men about the importance of an early diagnosis, treatment and the management of the disease.Created by The Urology Foundation, Blue September is aimed at raising awareness of cancer in men.

You can show your support by actively participating in 'Blue Friday' which is a weekly event held throughout the month and is used to hold awareness events, fundraising opportunities and highlighting The Urology Foundation's message about men's cancer.

One Ashford Hospital will be showing its support during September by holding a Cancer Awareness morning on Saturday 15th September which amongst other topics, will see specialist consultants providing talks on various urological cancers. Please feel free to come along and gain some invaluable advice and information.  The event is free of charge and open to all who are interested.
